I’m told (by my domestic partner) that I’m not allowed to vent my spleen on the pages of my up-and-coming community website (www.hebersprings.online) and so I will do it here on my blog.
As long as Google doesn’t cancel me and let’s me rant.
Conservative voices are being silenced in record numbers. Historically, there has never been a situation where the average schmo could have a public communication platform on a par with the clergy, academia, royalty, nobility and government.
Social media made that happen. And now, socialist media has a real problem with anyone who doesn’t toe the party line, spew the party rhetoric and support the party platform. Dissenting voices are not allowed.
But, I digress. That’s not what this article is about.
This is about companies that have suddenly gone woke. There’s an old saying, “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” I prefer Robert Heinlein’s take, which is, “A generation which ignores history has no past, and no future.” This quote is apropos of the wokeness sweeping companies across the globe. Well, not really across the globe, but across Western Civilization. There’s no such animal as a “woke” Chinese corporation. They’re not exactly paragons of human rights and social equality.
I can’t believe American companies are still falling for the woke agenda. Yet, every day, another major corporation or cultural brand giant gives in and goes woke. Just a couple of days ago, Coca Cola got woke and started having classes to teach their employees how to be “less white.”
My first question is: What kind of retarded bullshit is that? I find it mystifying: Someone gets paid (in this case a white woman) to tell white people they shouldn’t be who they are because it keeps other people from being who they could be. That seriously a socio-political shit-bomb doesn't even make any sense. It sounds like a joke, but they are actually serious. To be blunt, that’s the stupidest f**king thing I’ve heard lately. (And that’s saying a lot!)
My second question is: Didn’t any of you moronic companies learn anything from the wokeness of the last year? (This question really does answer itself…) Of course they didn’t. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be jumping on the lose-a-billion-dollars bandwagon by alienating half their market.
Interestingly enough, Coca Cola saw the writing on the wall pretty quickly and backpedaled so fast they stomped a mudhole right into LinkedIn (where the "Be Less White" training was offered) and the author of the training. Both LinkedIn and Robin DiAngelo the author (who also wrote "White Fragility") rolled out their damage control machines. DiAngelo went so far as to disavow any knowledge of the "training" saying it was a collection of unrelated video clips edited together by an unknown perpetrator. (I'll bet her paychecks from LinkedIn and Coca Cola tell a different story.)
Yet, the fact of the matter is, Coke had to see it coming.
I don’t get it. Why would a multinational, multi-billion-dollar corporation like Coca Cola go woke when anybody, not just MBAs and corporate accountants, anybody, can see what going woke does to a company’s profits? Did they not learn anything from the NBA, NFL, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon? All these idiot companies have lost, literally, billions of dollars, because people stopped buying their products when they started trying to sell us the woke bullshit.
Part of the woke bullshit is telling everybody that the color of our skin is the problem. Startlingly, a good portion of the population actually believes that while another good portion simply go along to get along. Then there's the rest of us who keep asking, "What the hell is wrong with you people?"
I know at least a dozen “conservative” individuals who have stopped shopping at Walmart after that company disrespected half their consumer base in a social media post. What kind of idiocy does it take to get a retail company to tell half its paying customers to go away?
It’s not just the conservatives, because I’m NOT a conservative, and I quit shopping at Walmart. Since the election, I have made it a point to shop local businesses, whenever possible, and not give my money to people who hate me.
Now, I’ve quit buying Coca Cola products for the same reason. I will not give those assholes my money. As it turns out, I don’t need Coca Cola products anyway. I have found I can quit using their products a lot easier than I can change my heritage or my cultural identity. Plus, I don’t want to and I don’t have to. And, now I’m saving money, saving the environment and drinking more water.
I win; they lose.
So, while my contribution, or lack thereof, to stopping the stupidity of woke culture may be the financial equivalent of throwing bricks in the Grand Canyon; it’s still one of the best weapons I have to make those assholes bleed.
I told someone about 10 years ago that I refused to do business with Starbucks or buy any of their products because they actively denied my right to carry a licensed, concealed weapon.
That liberal said, “Well, that doesn’t make any difference.”
I said, “It makes a difference to me.”
If that's all I've got; I'll take it.

I think it was Mickey, the translator for the wing, that said to us one time John, "A fish rots from the head down." I think that is an appropriate thought here. Be cause that is what is happening with these Woke companies. I, like you, just stop buying their products or services. Hopefully more will awaken and do the same.
To see so many of these companies support this agenda just shows the power of the fake news propaganda machine. It is the news media that's driving every bit of this socialistic, let's hate white people, let's hate America rhetoric. Dennis
